How does arming and disarming work with my IQ Touchscreen Control Panel?

Below are the proper ways to arm and disarm the system using the IQ Touchscreen Panel:

Arm Away

  • Arm in the Away mode by pressing the Arm Away button on the touchscreen of the panel, or by sending the Away command from the Frontpoint App or website. Arm Away will arm all of your sensors from door/window, glass break to your motion sensors.

  • While arming for Away, control panel will beep for 60 seconds. This countdown is called the Exit Delay as it is the amount of time you have to leave the home and have the final door closed behind you before the system is fully armed.

  • Once the panel is armed and a door sensor is tripped, the control panel will beep for 30 seconds. This countdown is called the Entry Delay as it is the amount of time you have when entering the home to disarm the system by entering your 4-digit code into the control panel or the Frontpoint App before the siren starts to sound. At the end of the 30 seconds the panel siren will start sounding.

About 30 seconds following the audible siren, you will begin to receive the phone calls from our monitoring station. We will call each of the numbers on your pre-dispatch verification list in the order provided, and request for the verbal passcode. If you answer the phone and provide the correct passcode, you may then request or deny dispatch. If the passcode is provided incorrectly, we will follow through with dispatching the authorities regardless of whether dispatch is requested or denied.

Arm Stay

  • Arm in the Stay mode by pressing the Arm Stay button on the Control Panel, or by sending the Stay command from the Frontpoint App or website. Arm Stay will arm all of your intrustion sensors with the exception of motion sensors.

  • While arming for Stay, control panel will beep for 60 seconds. This countdown is called the Exit Delay as it is the amount of time you have to leave the home and have the final door closed behind you before the system is fully active.

  • Once a door sensor is tripped, the control panel will beep for 30 seconds. This countdown is called the Entry Delay as it is the amount of time you have when entering the home to disarm the system either by entering your 4-digit code into the control panel or the Frontpoint App before the siren starts to sound. At the end of the 30 seconds the panel siren will start sounding.

    • Exception: NO ENTRY DELAY: Use the no entry delay feature when you are staying at home, or when you are away from home and can disarm your system before you come inside before you open the door. No entry delay means that when you arm the system, if the door opens, the alarm siren will sound right away instead of giving you 30 seconds to disarm.

    • To use no entry delay, simply touch the “Entry Delay On” icon to turn it off, towards the bottom of the screen before you arm the system.

Disarmed

  • To disarm the system when the system is armed, touch Press to Disarm. This will prompt you for your 4-digit user code. Enter your code to disarm your system. You can also send a disarm command from the home page of the Frontpoint App or website.

  • The only equipment active while the system is disarmed are the Environmental sensors.
