How do I change the Entry and Exit Delay on my system?

From the home screen of MyFrontpoint.com,

  • Click Settings near the bottom of the left menu.

  • Click Control Panel Settings on this page.

The second option under Control Panel Settings is Entry Delay, and the third option is Exit Delay.

Your Entry Delay determines how much time you have to disarm your system after entering the premises before the alarm sounds. Your Exit Delay determines how much time you have to leave the premises after you arm the system before your system is fully armed. These can be set independently of each other, depending on how you would like to customize your system.

To change your Entry Delay:

  • Click the Entry Delay tab. By default, it is set to 30 seconds. You cannot set it lower than 30 seconds, but you can increase the time up to 3 minutes.

  • Once your new value is selected, click Save. The setting change will take effect to the Control Panel within 3 to 5 minutes.

To change your Exit Delay:

  • Click the Exit Delay tab. By default, it is set to 1 Minute. You cannot set it lower than 1 minute, but you can increase the time up to 3 minutes.

  • Once your new value is selected, click Save. The setting change will take effect to the Control Panel within 3 to 5 minutes.
