What is the difference between Stay and Away?

Armed Stay is the arming mode you should use when remaining in your home, such as at night when sleeping.

Armed Away is the arming mode you should use when leaving the home.

The difference between the two modes is that “Armed Away” activates all the sensors in your system, whereas “Armed Stay” activates everything except motion sensors.
