Set up Rules in the Frontpoint app or website to automate your cameras - making them more intelligent and responsive to events that occur.
When configured, your cameras will automatically record clips when triggered by an event of your choosing- either an alarm, arming or disarming, sensor activity, or Smart Door Lock activity.
For inspiration to set up your own automated recording rules, a few customer favorites include:

- Setting a camera to record a clip when a Motion Sensor is activated
- Setting a camera to record a clip when a Door or Window Sensor indicates a door has opened
- Setting a camera to record a clip when the panel is disarmed
- Setting a camera to record a clip when a Smart Door Lock is unlocked

Create automation rules using the Frontpoint app
1) Log in to your account on the Frontpoint app.
2) Tap on Rules in the navigation menu.
3) Select an existing rule to modify it or tap "+" to create a new rule.
4) Tap Select to the right of "when" to select when the rule activates.
5) Tap on the device or event that will be used to trigger the rule - device options are determined by the equipment on your system.
6) Choose the action that will trigger the rule to start and then tap Done in the top right corner.
7) Tap Select to the right of "then" to select the action that will occur when the rule is triggered.
8) Tap Video Recording to record a clip when the rule is triggered - device options are determined by the equipment on your system.
9) Choose the camera that will record when the rule is triggered and then tap Done in the top right corner.
10) Tap Run at all times to select whether the rule will run all the time or at specific times and on certain days.
11) Tap No Notifications to select whether the rule will send notifications and which device(s) will receive them when the rule is triggered.
12) Enter a name for your rule.
13) Tap Save in the top right corner.
Create automation rules on MyFrontpoint.com
1) Log in to your account on MyFrontpoint.com.
2) Click Automation in the left-hand menu.
3) Click + Add New Rule.
4) Click New Rules Builder.
5) Click on the device or event that will be used to trigger the rule - device options are determined by the equipment on your system.
6) Choose the action that will trigger the rule to start and then click Done in the bottom right corner.
7) Click Select to the right of "then" to select the action that will occur when the rule is triggered.
8) Click Video Recording to record a clip when the rule is triggered - device options are determined by the equipment on your system.
9) Choose the camera that will record when the rule is triggered and then click Done in the bottom right corner.
