What do I do if the panel is not announcing that the door or window is opened or closed?

Start by making sure the chimes feature is enabled on your Control Panel via your Frontpoint App or website. If they are enabled check the following:

  • Verify the notches on the transmitter and magnet casings are directly across from each each other
  • Both pieces of the sensor need to be within a thumb’s width (no further than 3/4")
  • Check for a recession in the door or frame, both pieces should be flush with one another
  • Ensure the sensors are separating from one another by more than 3/4" once the door or window is opened

If the sensor still does not chime after checking the above, please contact Customer Support for further troubleshooting assistance.
