What batteries does the Carbon Monoxide Sensor use?

Your system is self-diagnosing and the Control Panel will alert you when any piece of equipment reports a low battery as well as that status will display on the home screen of both the Frontpoint App and website. If a Carbon Monoxide Sensor reports the low battery, follow these steps next to the picture that matches your sensor to change the battery:

This Carbon Monoxide Sensor takes 2 CR123A batteries and the typical battery life for the sensor is 3-5 years.

  • Rotate the body counterclockwise to remove it from the back casing.
  • Slide open the battery compartment to replace the 2 AAA batteries on the back of the body.
  • Reattach the battery cover then attach the body back to the base with a clockwise twist.

This Carbon Monoxide Sensor takes 3 AA batteries and the typical battery life for the sensor is 3-5 years. 

  • Slide the body sideways to remove it from the back casing.
  • Replace the 3 AA batteries on the back of the body.
  • Slide the alarm body back onto the mounting plate. The mounting plate will not close if all three batteries are not installed.
