How does arming and disarming work with the Hub?

There are three different modes your Hub can be in at any time:

Arm Away

• A RED LIGHT means your system is in Arm Away mode. This mode will be used whenever nobody is in the home.  It will arm all the sensors on your entire system. 
  • Arm in the Away mode by simply pressing the Away button on the Keypad/Touchscreen or by sending the Away command from the Frontpoint App/website.
  • While arming for Away, the key icon on the Hub and Keypad will flash red and beep for 30 seconds. This countdown is called the Exit Delay as it is the amount of time you have to leave the home and have the final door closed behind you before the system is fully active.
  • After your system is armed, the Hub will display a solid red light and the Keypad will flash red.
  • Once a door sensor is tripped, the hub will flash red and beep for another 30 seconds after which the siren will sound. This countdown is called the Entry Delay as it is the amount of time you have when entering the home to disarm the system either with the Keypad/Touchscreen or the Frontpoint App before the siren starts to sound.

Arm Stay

• An ORANGE LIGHT means your system is in Arm Stay mode. This mode will be used whenever anyone is in the home.  It will only arm the sensors for your doors and windows, no motion sensors are active in this mode. 
  • Arm in the Stay mode by simply pressing the Stay button on the Keypad/Touchscreen or by sending the Stay command from the app/website.
  • While arming for Stay, the Hub and Keypad’s LEDs will flash orange, then turn solid orange. There is no exit delay by default with stay mode.
  • After your system is armed, the Hub will display a solid orange light; the Keypad will flash orange.
  • Once a door sensor is tripped, the hub will flash orange and beep for another 30 seconds after which the siren will sound. This countdown is called the Entry Delay as it is the amount of time you have when entering the home to disarm the system either with the Keypad/Touchscreen or the Frontpoint app before the siren starts to sound.

Disarmed

• A GREEN LIGHT means your system is Disarmed. Disarmed is the basic status of the system whenever it is not armed. 
  • To disarm the system, enter your 4-digit code followed by the disarm button on the keypad/touchscreen or send the Disarm command from the Frontpoint app/website.
  • The only equipment active during this state are environmental sensors.
  • After your system is disarmed, both the Hub and Keypad will display a solid green light.
