What batteries does my Recessed Door Sensor take?

Your system is self-diagnosing and the Control Panel will alert you when any piece of equipment reports a low battery as well as that status will display on the home screen of both the Frontpoint App and website. If a Recessed Door Sensor reports the low battery, follow these steps next to the picture that matches your sensor to change the battery:

 

 

 

This Recessed Door Sensor takes a single CR2 battery that typically lasts 3-5 years.

  • Remove the cover by inserting a flat head screw driver or coin into the latch and popping it off.
  • Slide the circuit board out of the casing the replace the CR2 battery from its compartment. The positive end should be facing towards the circuit board.
  • Once complete, place the circuit board inside the casing and put the cap back on the outside of the sensor. Be sure not to over tighten as this can damage the sensor. 

 

This Recessed Door Sensor takes a single CR2032 battery that typically lasts 3-5 years.

  • Use a flathead screwdriver or coin to unscrew cap.
  • Slide the circuit board out of the casing then replace the CR2032 battery by sliding it out of the compartment. Install the new battery with the positive end facing up.
  • Once complete, re-place the circuit board inside the casing and re-screw the cap on the outside of the sensor. Be sure not to over tighten as this can damage the sensor.
