What do I do if the Control Panel isn’t always announcing that the door or window is opened or closed?

Begin by ensuring the chimes features is enabled on your Control Panel. 

Verify the mounting of the door/window sensor is correct by checking off the following: 

• Ensure the transmitter and the magnet are aligned with each other. Arrows on each piece should be facing directly across from each other. 
• The space between the transmitter and the magnet should be no further than 3/4". The closer they are together, the better. 
• Check for any recess in the door/frame. Both pieces should be on the same plane 
• Ensure both pieces are mounted on the handle side of the door, rather than the hinge. 

If the sensor is mounted correctly, and the panel is still inconsistent with reporting when a door or window is opened or closed, please contact Customer Support for additional troubleshooting.
