Tripwires are excellent for seeing who or what is travelling across a section of the camera’s view. They can also be setup to record for activity moving in a certain direction (e.g., a car pulls into the driveway).
Ground Zones can be set to record when something moves into an area and stays for a period of time (e.g. someone loiters on your porch).
