Malfunction indicates that this device is unable to send signals to your security panel and may not respond to commands, rules or schedules. The name of the Z-Wave device in malfunction will display in the parentheses. A Z-Wave malfunction can occur for a variety of reasons.
If it previously reported a low battery, replaces the batteries.
If the device is a switch or bulb, ensure that it is plugged in and receiving power.
If the device does have power, power cycle both the device and your control panel. Test a remote command to the device and if the malfunction persists, we recommend contacting Customer Support to help resolve the issue.
